Senior Portraits -- Jaclyn

Jaclyn is a graduating senior from UC Davis.  When she told me that her field of study was animal science, I was pumped and knew I had to give her a unique portrait session... One of her special requests to me before we started shooting was to possibly shoot with a horse. Living in Fullerton, I knew of places that we might run into horses. But Jaclyn wanted to pose with the horse and I really didn't know where to find one.. until I met Ben Miller. He's the owner of Lincoln, the horse in this session. It was an amazing blessing when we ran into Ben that same morning at the Fullerton equestrian center. Ben is the nicest rancher you will ever meet. He's a bonafide cowboy. He was kind enough to let us borrow Lincoln for a few shots. He didn't stop there, he brought us to a nearby barn where we reeled off some more shots. I want to mention Ben's ranch: BJM Ranch. BJM ranch is located in Sunny Hills in Fullerton. He's a great teacher and if you guys ever need a horseriding clinic, he's the guy to call. His website is

What a day!!  And what way to send off Jaclyn. Good luck Jaclyn.. You'll be a great vet someday!

Maternity Session - Mylene

One of my most memorable shoots to date happened last month. Mylene is the older sister of one of my long time friends. So, when she approached me for a maternity shoot, it was like a family member asking me. And most photographers know, you're very own family are usually the hardest people to shoot. But Mylene was great. Almost felt like she was made for these maternity portraits. I just love how the images turned out.

We chose to shoot at her new remodeled house, which happens to be her parent's old house.  It was a full circle moment right there. The place where she grew up, is now where her own family will start. Such a special session. Much props to Mylene and husband Jesse! Love you guys! Can't wait to meet your little one...
